photography (informal)

welcome to a photography blog of sorts. with all the issues around social media nowadays (privacy, doomscrolling, pipelines, ai, etc.), i wanted to create a space where i could publish some informal image slides independently. a space for the images to exist without all the external noise.

here you’ll find some of my ideas, workshoping for projects, and occasionally a behind the scenes view of my practice

enjoy! <3

Signs and monuments, little and big.

What do we put into the world, how do we shape our spaces, and how do they shape us back?

Playing with distortions, embracing chance.

I regularly "soup" my film before developing by mixing the roll with hot water, salt and assorted household chemicals.

Usually that creates beautiful, gentle distortions that I feel add a lot to the image... and sometimes it completely blows them up. These images were thoroughly burned by whichever chemicals I was using that day. In the end though I think I created something quite interesting. We'll see where this project goes, but for now it lives in this little series.

Souped 35mm Film Photos taken in Napoli and on Mt. Vesuvius, June 2025.
